Sub: Course in Modern Physics during Diwali vacation 
Dear Sir / Madam,
The Gujarat Science Academy and Vikram Sarabhai Community Science Center with other partners are organizing a week long course in Modern Physics aimed at Second Year B.Sc. students. The course aims to excite students about modern physics and also serve as a selection criterion for the advanced B.Sc. (Physics) Summer Programme that is being run for a few years now.

Principals/Head of the Departments are requested to nominate two students from their college for this programme, which will run for a week during the Diwali vacation.  They should also rank the students so that the better student is selected in case there are more applications than vacancies.

The course will expose the student to ideas in modern physics with an emphasis on problem solving. 
Lodging and boarding will be provided by the organisers.
